契約書はおしなべて、法律の専門用語だらけで素人にはほとんど意味のわからない、長々とした難解な文章で書かれている。しかし、読んで理解するのに長時間が必要だったり、自分のビジネス案件なのに契約書の解釈を弁護士に頼んだりしなければならないのは、あまりに非効率・不合理ではないか。そうした疑問から筆者は、契約書をプレーンランゲージ（平易な言語）で書くことにチャレンジした。実践してみると、従来に比べて時間とコストが大幅に節約でき、顧客からも大好評を得た。自身の経験をもとに、そのプロセスにおける課題と、それを解消するノウハウを公開する。
