Buckingham Palace and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) continue to support the cruel fur trade by using REAL bear fur for the ceremonial headgear that the guards wear outside Buckingham palace.

It takes an entire bearskin to create each hat --127 bearskins were ordered by Defence Officials last year (2014) alone!

(You can read more about it here in the The Independent).

There is no reason that these need to be made out of real fur. Designers such as Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood have even offered their services to the MoD in recent years to design alternative hats that do not need real fur, but the MoD insist on supporting the cruel deaths of these magnificent animals.

We are saying NO MORE to animal cruelty. There is absolutely no excuse for real fur to be used by the MoD. Black Bears face an increasing struggle to survive due to habitat destruction and a loss of their natural resources, they should not be subjected to barbaric deaths to satisfy an outdated tradition.

Please sign this petition, show Buckingham Palace and the MOD that supporting the fur industry is inexcusable.
